About Jetboil


Jetboil was started by two friends, Dwight Aspinwall and Perry Dowst, who had enough using unwieldy stoves and cumbersome vacuum bottles. Their simple but excellent idea is to make outdoor cooking safe and convenient for all—from expert campers to weekend hikers.

They come up with several designs—tested in the lab and in the field—that eventually became multifunctional products that efficiently transfer heat from one source to another, making the cooking process easier even in extreme conditions. Now, Jetboil has an impressive lineup of outdoor equipment.

In April 2004, Jetboil PCS won the Editor’s Choice Award of the Backpacker Magazine, followed by another pick in 2006 for the Jetboil GCS model.
